Description

  

Responsibilities

· Driver/broker management planning of essentially a 24/7 shipping operation

· Order entry for customer loads

· Secure new brokers/haulers to diversify our network for both profit & reliability

· Proactively help identify ways to help lower our costs and be more efficient

· Fuel Island responsibilities-Key fobs, assigning cards, monitoring fuel costs & usage

· Discipline – manage drivers and brokers as issues arise, including write-up’s & terminations.

Daily Tasks

· Daily load planning via internal truckers & brokers for pneumatics and flatbeds

· Repair management – orders, approval & tracking for tractors & tanks parts/services

· Manage timely deliveries to customers along with regular updates/communication

· Reporting – continuity of current reports (tonnage, rates, etc.) while also helping to identify other critical KPI’s

· Approval of all invoices related to trucking business

· Coordination with customers, internal customer service and internal operations

Software Management:

· OmniTracs – Tractor GPS monitoring

· GeoTab – Trailer GPS monitoring

· McLeod – Dispatch/load planning management for pneumatics & flatbeds via internal drivers/tractors & brokerage

· APEX - Cross-trained on internal billing/ordering system

· Excel Skills – Must have ability to analyze data for efficiencies/profitability opportunities

Requirements

  

· 7+ years of experience dispatching

· Commodity product delivery experience preferred

· Associate degree preferred

· Bi-lingual preferred

· Team-player, great attitude, problem-solver, multi-task, accurate communication, sense of urgency, customer-centric
