The Staff Pad has partnered with a leading healthcare organization in Alturas, CA, to recruit a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) / Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a rewarding opportunity at their Skilled Nursing Facility. 

Under the direction of the SNF Medical Director, the PA/FNP provides comprehensive care to residents, emphasizing prevention, wellness, and patient education.

Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site

What You’ll Do

  • Perform physical exams, obtain medical histories, and manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications and perform minor procedures
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges; maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, & therapists on resident care plans
  • Educate residents and families on treatments, medications & preventative care
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with facility standards

What We Are Looking For

PA Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences ; Graduate of an accredited PA program
  • NCCPA certified & Active California PA license
  • Completion of required CME hours and recertification; supervised by a physician

FNP Requirements

  • Active California RN license
  • Master’s degree from an accredited NP program
  • DEA registration (if applicable)
  • National FNP certification (AANP/ANCC)

Additional Qualifications

  • Current BCLS and ACLS certifications
  • DEA registration (if applicable)
  • Strong English communication skills & basic computer proficiency
  • Dependable & Able to work effectively with patients of all ages
