This role ensures high-quality radiographic images while prioritizing patient safety, comfort, and dignity. The technologist collaborates with providers and care teams to deliver efficient, patient-centered services in both routine and emergency situations. This position also supports departmental operations, equipment maintenance, and scheduling functions to ensure continuity of care in rural healthcare. **Offering $10,000.00 sign on bonus** Title: Radiology Technologist                                    Job Code: 2944 Status: Full Time & PRN                                           Department: Radiology Location: Share Medical Center                                Supervisor: Radiology Director        Required Skills Demonstrate strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all imaging Commitment to excellent customer service and support patient-centered care Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff in a professional manner Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and radiology systems Strong knowledge of radiation safety, patient positioning, imaging techniques and radiology equipment operation Qualifications Associate degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Current BLS Certification (Must obtain within 90 days of hire) Key Responsibilities Perform radiographic procedures adhering to physician orders and department standards Prepare and position patients accurately to obtain high-quality radiographic images Practice radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record Verifies orders, confirms patient identity and explains procedures to ensure patient understanding and comfort. Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring proper function and reporting malfunctions Manage inventory of radiology supplies, coordinating with central supply as needed Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with infection control standards Participate in weekend and evening on-call rotation, must be able to respond within 20 minutes for emergency imaging needs, staying onsite if needed. Respond to emergency situations, including codes, and assist as needed Collaborate with providers, nurses, and other departments to ensure quality of patient care Assist with scheduling and coordination of imaging services for X-Ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Mammogram based on patient needs and urgency Confirm appointments and provide necessary pre-appointment instructions Participate in continuing education and maintain required certifications and competencies Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond appropriately to adverse reactions or emergencies Ensure compliance with hospital accreditation standards, including utilization of SQSS (Strategic Quality Support System) for compliance tracking. Adhere to all hospital policy and procedure, follow HIPAA guidelines, available for duty in the event of a disaster, completes all required educational training and performs other job duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Frequent standing and walking throughout clinical areas for extended periods. Ability to assist with lifting, repositioning, transferring, or supporting patients. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling while performing clinical tasks. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to operate medical equipment, and document care. Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to visually read medical charts and operate clinical technology. Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
