Drafter for Heavy Lift and Transport Projects

Do you have the technical skills and attention to detail needed to transform engineering concepts into accurate technical drawings? At Mammoet, our Drafters play a critical role in supporting heavy lifting and transportation projects by developing high-quality structural and equipment drawings that enable safe, efficient, and successful project execution.

 

As a Drafter, you will be responsible for preparing and checking drawings of structural and equipment systems, collecting and interpreting technical documentation and specifications, and ensuring that all drawings comply with applicable engineering standards, codes, and project requirements. You will collaborate with engineers, operations, and other stakeholders to ensure technical drawings are delivered accurately and on schedule.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Using your drafting expertise to support heavy lifting and transportation projects through the development of accurate technical drawings.

  • Preparing drawings of structures and equipment based on layouts, sketches, specifications, and engineering requirements

  • Applying relevant codes, standards, and practical manufacturing considerations to technical drawings
  • Coordinating with Engineering, Operations, Auxiliary Equipment (AE), sales, and Equipment Management teams to understand project requirements and drawing specifications
  • Reviewing drawings to ensure technical accuracy and functional integrity
  • Field verifying and updating equipment libraries
  • Supporting document review, approval, and revision processes
  • Maintaining engineering documentation and technical records within applicable systems
  • Ensuring drawings are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established engineering standards and procedures
  • Contributing to the successful execution of projects through clear and accurate technical documentation

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Associate Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent technical education
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant drafting or engineering support experience
  • Professional-level knowledge of international codes and standards
  • Experience working with technical drawings for structural or equipment systems
  • Experience with AutoCAD and other drafting/design software
  • Proficient communicator fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, operations teams, and other stakeholders
  • Experience in industries such as construction, heavy lifting, transportation, energy, renewables, oil & gas, offshore, mining, or industrial services is preferred
