SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

HR Advisor (HR Business Partner) for heavylift and transport projects

Working at Rosharon, TX

Are you a people person looking for your next challenge? We are committed to the development of our Mammoet professionals whatever role they are in. As HR Advisor you would play a critical part in helping to accelerate careers in line with our business objectives.

HR isn't for everyone. If you think HR is just policies, paperwork and saying "no," this probably isn't the role for you.

We're looking for someone who believes HR should challenge leaders, solve business problems, build high-performing teams, and occasionally survive controlled chaos with a sense of humor.

Our environment moves fast.

Really fast.

One minute you're discussing succession planning with senior leadership. The next you're helping solve an employee relations issue on a jobsite. Then you're brainstorming a better onboarding process because "we've always done it this way" isn't a good enough answer.

If you're someone who enjoys variety, isn't easily rattled, appreciates healthy sarcasm (and can dish it back appropriately), and loves building relationships across all levels of the business -- we should probably talk.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You'll serve as a trusted business partner supporting operational leaders across the business while helping shape our people strategy. This role blends strategic HR, operational execution, talent development, workforce planning, employee relations, organizational development, recruitment and leadership coaching.

You'll partner directly with business leaders to:

  • Provide practical HR guidance that helps leaders make confident business decisions.
  • Coach leaders through performance management, employee relations and organizational challenges.
  • Lead workforce planning, succession planning and talent reviews.
  • Drive recruitment strategies for both office and field operations.
  • Support organizational design and change management initiatives.
  • Analyze workforce data and trends to influence business decisions.
  • Lead and participate in HR projects that improve the employee experience.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and challenge outdated ways of working.
  • Help develop future leaders across the organization.
  • Partner with leadership to build an engaged, high-performing culture.
  • Support mobility, workforce planning and long-term organizational growth.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first year you'll become a trusted advisor to business leaders.

Within two years you'll be helping lead major HR initiatives, influencing organizational decisions, mentoring other HR team members, and preparing to assume broader leadership responsibilities.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Strong experience supporting operational or industrial environments; preferred in heavy-lift, heavy haul with working in equipment industry.
  • Experience partnering directly with senior leaders.
  • A strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience in organizational development, succession planning and talent management.
  • Confidence making decisions in situations where there isn't always a perfect answer.
  • The ability to balance business needs with employee experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • The ability to influence without relying on authority.

WHAT YOU’LL GET

  • Quick autonomy in your career
  • Medical and Dental benefits
  • 401k matching up to 6%
  • Onsite gym and cafeteria
  • Vacation and Sick Time
  • Education and Professional Development Assistance
  • Career Development and Programs
  • Casual Dress
  • Hybrid Work Schedule (post the 90-day probationary period)

The Person

This part matters just as much.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Thinks before reacting.
  • Solves problems instead of creating them.
  • Can laugh at themselves.
  • Doesn't get offended by healthy sarcasm.
  • Isn't afraid to respectfully challenge leaders.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment without creating unnecessary drama.
  • Sees ambiguity as an opportunity instead of a roadblock.
  • Loves building relationships.
  • Is curious enough to ask "Why?"
  • Is comfortable saying "I don't know, but I'll find out."
  • Wants to build something -- not just maintain it.

You Probably Won't Enjoy This Job If...

  • You prefer highly structured days where everything goes according to plan.
  • You avoid difficult conversations.
  • You wait to be told what to do.
  • You dislike change.
  • You dislike to be challenged or your advice is not taken when asked.
  • You think "that's not my job."
  • You take everything to heart.
  • You believe HR's only role is policy enforcement.

You Might Love This Job If...

  • You enjoy variety instead of doing the same thing every day.
  • You like influencing decisions at the leadership table.
  • You enjoy mentoring others.
  • You think HR should be proactive—not reactive.
  • You appreciate a team that works hard, laughs often, and supports one another.
  • You want room to grow instead of staying in the same role for the next decade.
