Job Summary:

The Safety Manager is responsible for all safety-related matters for select Fidelity BSG companies within the Southern Gulf Territory. This position will promote and uphold our culture of safety.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations such as OSHA and the FMCSA and our insurance carriers, customers, and contractors
  • Provide training for field team members such as OSHA 10 & 30, CPR, First Aid & AED, Forklift, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, and others
  • Conduct New Hire Safety Orientation and ensure PPE is received
  • Participate in site visits as required by customers, General Contractors, and Insurance Carrier
  • Schedule and conduct site inspections to ensure personnel are operating in a safe manner
  • Plan, facilitate, and oversee crane lifts and other high-risk job tasks in-person
  • Prepare and submit detailed site inspection, post-accident, and injury investigation reports
  • Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries and auto accidents
  • Actively participate with the Safety Committee

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelors Degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in risk, safety, or claims related position is preferred
  • Ability to speak Spanish is preferred
  • Possess or obtain the necessary training credentials that facilitate certification of team members in various safety-related courses
  • Must possess and maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record that meets or exceeds company standards
