Class A CDL Driver

KB Recycling is seeking a reliable and skilled Class A CDL Driver to join our team. This driver will work our flatbed route, will load flatbed with bales using a forklift, and must be able to throw straps over loads.

The Class A CDL Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Pay dependent on experience. Performance and Holiday bonuses eligibility after 1 year of employment.

Duties

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Safely transport freight to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Load bales on flatbed using a forklift.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any incidents that occur during transit.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.

Skills

• Proficient in truck driving with experience operating manual transmission vehicles.
• Strong understanding of load securing techniques for safe transportation.
• Excellent navigation skills with a focus on safety and compliance with road regulations.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements:

• Applicants should be 21+
• Have a current Class A CDL license
• Have a minimum of 3 years of CDL driving experience
• Have a clean driving record
• Pass a background check
• Pass drug and alcohol screen
• Ability to throw straps over high loads
• Lift 50lbs
