Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing functions as authorized under the direct supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist. 
  • In addition, performs basic respiratory tasks/procedures to include patient care, reporting patient conditions, circumstances, and maintaining equipment and unit cleanliness. 
  • The Clinical intern must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. 

Qualifications

Job Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing in Amarillo College Respiratory Care Program.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
