Job DetailsJob Location: Sage Oil Vac - AMARILLO, TX 79118Salary Range: $25.34JOB TITLE: Facilities Maintenance Technician DEPARTMENT: Production REPORTS TO: Production Manager CLASSIFICATION: Hourly Purpose and Scope The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, facility systems, and company property to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role supports business objectives by performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, building systems, vehicles, and grounds. The Technician ensures compliance with safety standards and maintains a clean, organized, and functional work environment across all company facilities. Key Responsibilities Equipment & Production Maintenance Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and machinery. Maintain and repair forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment. Conduct heavy machinery diagnostics, repairs, and performance testing. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed. Facility & Building Maintenance Perform general building maintenance and repairs across all company offices and facilities. Establish and maintain a regular schedule for routine facility inspections and preventive maintenance. Complete plumbing, carpentry, and minor construction tasks as required. Replace lighting, ballasts, fixtures, and perform general electrical repairs within scope. Maintain and clean paint and blast booths. Perform routine sweeping and general facility upkeep. Maintain lawn care and coordinate or perform pest control maintenance. Ensure rental units are clean and properly maintained. Manage disposal of wood pallets and facility waste in accordance with safety guidelines. Vehicle & Asset Maintenance Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on company vehicles. Maintain service records and track maintenance schedules for equipment and fleet assets. Technical & Diagnostic Responsibilities Diagnose equipment malfunctions; repair or replace defective components. Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders. Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, meters, and material handling equipment safely and effectively. Detect faulty operations and report unusual conditions to management promptly. Safety & Continuous Improvement Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean, organized work areas. Support and participate in 5S implementation and facility organization initiatives. Create and maintain maintenance logs, SOPs, and training documentation as needed. Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings. Other duties and projects as assigned.
