Position: Territory Sales Manager

We are looking for a Sales Manager to add to our Amarillo, Lubbock and Odessa locations.  

This position is responsible for managing customer relationships, including selling new and used refrigeration units, rental opportunities, driving aftermarket sales opportunities, and helping to grow our business footprint. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for sales in both the Amarillo, Lubbock and Odessa areas.

The right candidate will be willing to travel between territories and can build long-term relationships with current and potential Thermo King customers. The candidate needs to be highly self-motivated and organized to generate and maintain new business. 

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a positive working relationship with all current Thermo King customers, with the ability to sell service and parts to customers operating refrigeration equipment.
  • Initiate calls on a daily basis to current and new customers.  Cold calls are required.
  • Improve customer experience and business performance through product knowledge of the transportation industry.
  • Maintain a daily and weekly customer contact list of actions through salesforce.com.
  • Meet monthly sales goals for unit sales, service, parts, and rental.
  • Travel throughout assigned territory. This is an outside sales position.
  • Work with the service and parts departments to ensure they are executing commitments to customers.
  • Provide weekly status updates to ownership on successes and challenges being faced.
  • Always considers updates and developments to ensure ongoing efficiencies and development of the department.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in business-to-business sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office and ability to learn Thermo King corporate computer programs.
  • Must be willing to spend no less than 75% of their time working directly with customers in the field.
  • Must be highly goal oriented and self-motivated.
  • Background in transportation industry is preferred.
