Full-Time Chaplain
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Chaplain to provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and meaningful connection to residents, families, and staff across both communities. who is passionate about serving older adults and providing spiritual and emotional support to individuals and families from diverse faith backgrounds.
This Full Time position serves both Artman Lutheran Home in Ambler PA and The Hearth at Drexel in Bala Cynwyd.Â
What You'll Do
- Provide pastoral care, visitation, counseling, and spiritual support to residents, families, and staff.
- Lead worship services, Bible studies, spiritual programs, and other faith-based activities.
- Provide spiritual care during times of illness, crisis, end-of-life, hospitalization, and bereavement, including funeral services when requested.
- Build relationships with residents, families, clergy, local congregations, and representatives of various faith traditions.
- Collaborate with care teams to support the spiritual and psychosocial needs of residents and participate in care planning as needed.
- Represent both communities within the broader faith community and participate in educational, community, and organizational programs.
What We're Looking For
- Chaplain Certification preferred
- Ordination or equivalent faith leadership experience preferred
- At least 3 years of congregational or long-term care ministry experience
- Experience and demonstrated ability working with older adults
- Strong pastoral care, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work respectfully and effectively with people from diverse faith traditions
- Compassionate, approachable, and committed to meeting residents where they are spiritually and emotionally
- Ability to regularly work at both Artman in Ambler and The Hearth at Drexel in Bala Cynwyd
