Base Maintenance Group Supervisor – Ambridge, PA

 

Purpose

Manages and oversees maintenance activities for Industrial Services assets, including water treatment systems, furnaces, cranes, and related facilities, to ensure equipment reliability, availability, and process continuity. Has overall responsibility for the management of the Industrial Services area, providing technical leadership and resolving complex maintenance issues. Ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Optimize asset availability, reliability, and maintenance costs by improving maintenance strategies and execution quality.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including failure analysis and root cause investigations.
  • Lead and supervise a team of 5–9 maintenance employees, ensuring safe and effective daily work execution.
  • Monitor maintenance performance indicators and promote the implementation of maintenance best practices.
  • Analyze equipment data and maintenance history to identify improvement opportunities and optimize maintenance plans.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations, Engineering, and external service providers to meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Support equipment lifecycle management, including specifications, upgrades, installations, and investment planning.
  • Manage technical documentation and support spare parts and inventory definition through technical analysis.
  • Serve as a technical reference for complex maintenance issues and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance engineering or maintenance specialist roles within industrial manufacturing environments.
  • 2+ years of experience supervising maintenance personnel and contractors in industrial settings.
  • Hands-on experience with maintenance of industrial services equipment, including cranes, furnaces, water treatment systems, and utility assets.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices, failure analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience using CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools, preferably SAP Maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements in industrial environments.
