Job Title: Freeze Dried Lead

Shift: C-Shift Wednesday-Friday, Every other Saturday 6pm-6am
JOB SUMMARY
The Freeze-Dried Specialist leads our team for success across our department of Freeze Dry. Duties include relaying information between the team and Supervisor, guiding the team through daily work activities or projects and monitoring employee performance to ensure maximum productivity.
The ideal candidate will be a natural leader who will be able to successfully coach and train employees, while staying focused on results.Â
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Â
- Ensures compliance to quality specifications, preserves product integrity, plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.Â
- Ensures effective employee relations by providing employee coaching and development.Â
- Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.Â
- Manages departmental performance measures, including visual controls, creating and revising Standard Operating Procedures, maintains QC paperwork, and provides regular progress reports to supervisor.Â
- This person will resolve minor to major quality problems with the facility; evaluate and take corrective action when necessary, regarding product at all levels of product movement; educate and instruct plant personnel in recommended quality control testing, equipment and general sanitation and housekeeping practices while confirming these procedures are maintained.Â
- Step in and perform the responsibilities of the supervisor during in their absence and maintain the expectations of a supervisor during that time.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned or needed.Â

- A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.Â
- An ability to think ahead and plan over a 30-day time span and prepare action plans to achieve results.Â
- An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost, and employee relations.Â
- The possession of quality orientation and attention to detail, problem analysis and resolution. In addition to, strong interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to manage multiple priorities.Â
 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity.Â
- 50% or more sitting, 50% or more walking, and 40% or more standing.Â
- The job is performed under occasional temperature variations and in a food manufacturing production environment.Â
