Job DetailsJob Location: Headquarters - American Fork, UT 84003ThermoWorks, home of the #1-rated food thermometer, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will provide financial and administrative support services to the department. This position is an ideal growth opportunity for someone with attention to detail looking to own major general accounting functions within a stable environment. This position works onsite 5 days/week.   Key Responsibilities:  Reconcile various balance sheet accounts including but not limited to bank accounts, merchant credit card accounts, and our PayPal account to ensure the GL is materially correct as part of month end close Provide analytical insights for monthly close regarding fluctuations in balance sheet and expense accounts to support senior management Manage and reconcile the company fixed asset ledger including the calculation and booking of monthly depreciation Prepare journal entries relating to amortization, accruals, and a variety of other accounts. Perform account analysis to make sure that entries and balances are correct and align with generally accepted accounting principles. Manage and process weekly Accounts Payable including processing payments via I would check and wire/ ACH. Review and compare payments against budgeted cash flows Assist with annual financial review and benefits audit. This includes providing supporting documentation and explanations to external auditors Maintain and optimize accounting systems and ERP workflows to drive process efficiency and accuracy Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Operations) to provide financial alignment, assist with budget tracking, and support data-driven business decisions Cross train and understand other job duties performed by accounting clerks   Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, with 3-5 years of experience as an Accountant required.  Skills in balance sheet account reconciliations Public Accounting/ Auditing experience is a plus Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Excellent time management and organizational skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing Familiar with standard policies and procedures in accounting Proficient in Microsoft with advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and strong analytical capabilities.  Experience with Netsuite is a plus A mindset of continuous improvement and excellence with leadership potential
