ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at LVT, you will be a primary architect of quality within our Software Quality team. You won't just find bugs; you will build the sophisticated automation frameworks and testing strategies that ensure our AI-driven platforms remain world-class. Working at the intersection of development and operations, you will drive a "quality-first" culture that empowers our engineers to deploy with confidence and speed.

This role is based in-office out of our Headquarters in American Fork, Utah.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect Scalable Frameworks: Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks that support our rapidly evolving software and hardware ecosystem.

  • Drive CI/CD Integration: Seamlessly integrate automated testing into our CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to accelerate our release cycles without compromising reliability.

  • Engineer End-to-End Coverage: Develop comprehensive automated and manual test cases that validate system performance, security, and functional integrity.

  • Collaborate for Resolution: Partner closely with developers and product managers to identify, document, and track defects, ensuring swift and effective resolution.

  • Establish Best Practices: Define and enforce rigorous test automation methodologies and tools across the engineering organization.

  • Optimize Performance: Continuously analyze test results and troubleshoot failures to optimize scripts for maximum scalability and reliability.

  • Innovate Testing Strategy: Stay at the forefront of emerging QA technologies, proactively implementing new tools that enhance efficiency and coverage.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Proven Technical Foundation: 3-5 years of experience in software architecture, development, and release management with a strong emphasis on coding and debugging.

  • Automation Expert: 3-5 years of hands-on experience building and managing test frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Pytest.

  • Polyglot Mindset: Proficiency in modern programming languages, specifically Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

  • Pipeline Proficiency: Deep understanding of CI/CD integrations and automated deployment workflows, specifically utilizing GitHub Actions.

  • Agile Veteran: 3+ years of experience operating in high-velocity, Agile development environments.

  • Hardware-Software Intuition: Experience (or strong interest) in the unique challenges of testing integrated hardware and software solutions.

  • Cloud & Containerization Savvy: Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is a significant plus.

  • Proactive Communicator: Exceptional ability to articulate technical challenges and quality risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

COMPENSATION

The beginning annual salary range for this role is [$100,000 - $145,000] USD and is determined by location, job-related experience, and education/training. Your total earning potential is amplified by a bonus structure tied to meeting goals, and you will become an owner from day one through our employee equity program.
