Forklift Operator

Our Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to maneuver totes of product between areas to ensure proper loading of product for shipments.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the Manager to ensure all product is 100% accounted for proper traceability.
• Supplying materials to production lines.
• Directly assist in ensuring all shipments to and from the plant are properly documented.
• Assist the Warehouse Supervisor when needed to complete maintenance tasks.
• Ensure product does not have any risk of becoming cross contaminated with other allergens prior to loading or unloading lots.
• Maintain Forklifts in clean and sanitary condition.
• Follow all shipping instructions required by each specific customer.
• Load trailers in accordance with all legal weight requirements.
• Report, document and correct any discrepancies to customer or regulatory guidelines.
• Operate all forklifts, man-lifts, and scissor-lifts in accordance with company safety policies.
• Know and follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Background/Experience:

• 2 years forklift experience
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to stand on concrete for up to 10 hours.
• Experience in inventory and record keeping.
• High School Diploma or GED.
