Description of Duties:   

The Social Service Tech 2 for the Substance Abuse Non-Intensive Outpatient Program will provide effective on-going services that will enhance the individual's ability to understand their substance use challenges and to develop a lifestyle that promotes manageability of co-occurring challenges and recovery. The services will be provided through group and individual services, using evidenced based curriculums. The Social Service Tech 2 will complete the duties through skills training, education and counseling to individuals served, collaborate with community stakeholders or referring agencies, establish treatment plans and ensure individuals are meeting specified goals, and provide clinical documentation within 24-48 hours to validate progress or identify pertinent information of assigned individuals. Carry an ADSS caseload of 15-20 individuals as well as provide ADSS services both in the clinic and community. Transport individuals to and from the program in a 12-15 passenger van, if needed.                     

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s or two-year degree in a job-related field. Valid, unrestricted GA Driver’s License. Two years’ experience in a social services-related position. 

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in a job-related field. Experience working with adults with co-occurring Mental Health and Substance Use challenges. Two years’ experience in a social services-related position. Certified Addictions Counselor credential. CPR and First Aid Certification.
