In this role, the Coordinator plans, coordinates, and supports outreach initiatives that promote college readiness, career connected learning and access to higher education. Responsibilities include coordinating outreach events, workshops, and summer programming, as well as managing the logistics, communications, and partnerships necessary to deliver high-quality student experiences. The Coordinator collaborates with students, families, school partners, and university departments to expand awareness of higher education opportunities and support pathways to ASU.
The Coordinator may also serve as the lead staff member responsible for the implementation and coordination of cohort-based outreach programs. Cohort programs engage students over multiple years through leadership development, academic exploration, and college readiness programming and presentations. In this capacity, the Coordinator manages program logistics and activities while maintaining relationships with participating students and families to support engagement and student progression toward college enrollment.
This position collaborates closely with internal teams and community partners to advance Access ASU’s mission of expanding higher education opportunities for K–12 students and their families.
Regular Schedule
In-person position, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend work as needed to support programs and events. Summer programming in June requires schedule flexibility and includes hours outside the standard 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. schedule.
Primary work location is the Memorial Union at the ASU Tempe campus. The incumbent will travel to off-campus events and other ASU campuses as needed.

Essential Duties:
Outreach Programming and Student Engagement
Develop and deliver presentations, workshops, and programming that promote college readiness, career exploration, and postsecondary pathways for K-12 students and families.
Coordinate and support outreach events, college readiness programs, and visits for school and community partners.
Represent Access ASU at campus, school, and community events.
Cohort Program Coordination
Coordinate and implement cohort-based outreach programs that engage students over multiple years.
Develop curriculum, activities, and experiences that support leadership development, academic exploration, and college readiness.
Maintain ongoing communication with student participants and families to support engagement and program success.
Track student participation and outcomes to evaluate program effectiveness and inform program improvements.
Program Planning and Operations
Plan and coordinate logistics for workshops, campus visits, leadership programs, conferences, and summer camps.
Coordinate participant registration, communications, and program materials.
Support recruitment and outreach strategies designed to increase application, admittance and enrollment to ASU for Arizona students.
Partnership Development
Establish and maintain effective relationships with community organizations and university partners.
Collaborate with internal departments and program teams to deliver high-quality outreach experiences.
Communicate effectively with community partners to develop and sustain partnerships that advance program goals.
Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
Collect and analyze program data to assess effectiveness and support program improvement.
Identify challenges or opportunities within outreach programming and recommend adjustments to improve impact.
Program Administration & Coordination
Coordinate schedules, facilities, and services for outreach activities
Maintain program materials and participant records
Assist with reports and documentation related to outreach initiatives
Serve on departmental and university committees as assigned.
Other duties may be assigned to support departmental goals and initiatives.
Desired Qualifications:
Evidence of a master’s degree.
Experience working with K-12 school systems and/or higher education outreach programs.
Confident and engaging public speaker with experience leading presentations
Experience coordinating educational programs, workshops, or events.
Ability to build trust and meaningful connections with Arizona students and families to support college access and success
Experience supporting students and families navigating pathways to higher education..
Knowledge of college readiness, college access, and career exploration principles.
Experience supporting first-generation college students and families.
Experience collecting and using data to inform program decisions.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community and institutional partners.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bilingual or multilingual proficiency preferred, particularly English and Spanish.
Working Environment:
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting and require extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and computer use.
The position frequently requires standing and walking moderate distances across campus and occasionally climbing stairs in buildings without elevator access.
The role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The incumbent must possess a valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation.
The incumbent will be required to travel to off-campus events and other ASU campuses.
The position may require lifting and transporting materials weighing up to 35 pounds for program and event support.

Educational Outreach and Student Services (EOSS) is committed to enrolling all qualified students at Arizona State University and assisting them in their academic success. EOSS provides a broad range of services and support to students and prospective students ranging from outreach efforts with K-12 schools, orientation programs for new freshman, bridge programs to assist the transition to a university environment, and a wide variety of services, programs and activities for enrolled students.
