Job DetailsJob Location: Ames, IA 50010The IT Systems Engineer will plan, design and build complex IT infrastructures within a multi-site IT environment. This role will ensure all networks and systems are configured properly and efficiently. Responsibilities and Duties Operate safely and appropriately in all AgCertain situations and environments Design and maintain the IT infrastructure across multiple sites Lead infrastructure modernization and lifecycle replacement work Keep network diagrams, SOPs, and infrastructure documentation current Support a mixed Cisco and Ubiquiti network environment Handle complex troubleshooting across network, latency, wireless and connectivity issues Manager VPN and remote access configurations accurately Set up accounts and permissions during onboarding of employees Maintain network segmentation and security controls for manufacturing and OT systems Respond to outages, security incidents, and operational disruptions Assist with infrastructure planning and budgeting, vendor evaluation, and technology roadmaps Manage the Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP administration Monitor cybersecurity issues and create solutions for these Ensure all technology within both office and production settings is functioning properly Ensure effective technology set-up and network requirements to meet daily business requirements including user account creation, access management, and offboarding Understand our Windows Server environments and ensure they are accurately updated Troubleshoot wired and wireless performance issues as they occur Install infrastructure hardware as necessary Support the hybrid Microsoft 365 and on-premise Exchange setup Support warehouse scanners, mobile devices, printers, and other technology that needs hands-on technical help Have a thorough understanding of and be able to apply Occupational Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices to procedures within the plant/understand how they affect the production process Follow all written procedures (SOPs) and work instructions that pertain to the respective area Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner Participate in all company trainings Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field Five (5) years experience in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering or Infrastructure Administration preferred Physical abilities to include the ability to lift 50 lbs (23 Kg), able to climb several flights of stairs and not affected by heights Strong troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills Experience with Entra ID, Intune, Cisco Duo and VPN technologies Experience in a multi-site network environment Ubiquiti networking experience preferred Ability to analyze data and contribute to strategic decision-making Excellent communication, organizational, management, and computer skills Ability to interact professionally and effectively with internal and external customers Act with humility, honesty, integrity, and a commitment to safety
