Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff by ensuring the physical integrity of the property.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance duties as assigned by the Superintendent in accordance with company policies and all applicable regulations (OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, and other federal, state, and local laws)
- Maintain knowledge of utility shut-offs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers, and hydrant locations
- Assist with all aspects of property maintenance, including interior and exterior upkeep, custodial tasks, preventative and corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs
- Repair structural wear and damage to buildings
- Perform groundskeeping and landscaping duties
- Maintain cleanliness of parking areas, sidewalks, hallways, and common areas
- Prepare vacant apartments, including painting and general readiness
- Service and repair appliances, plumbing, electrical systems, and other equipment
Qualifications
- 1ā2 years of full-time maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow within the role
- Strong communication skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Ability to interact effectively with a diverse population
