AWARE is looking for the right person to join the team as a therapeutic recreation service technician.

Responsibilities:
- Ability to work independently in assigned location/ region
- Ability to travel via personal vehicle or AWARE vehicle to client or service area
- Experience leading and instructing participants in gaining life skills
- Experience in planning and leading recreational activities
- Implements interventions that are sensitive to the client age, cultural background, stage of development, limitations of disabling conditions, skill and experience level.
- Role model by demonstrating and engaging in activities alongside client to help promote positive lifestyle skills
- Assist TRPD in creating protocols for interventions that include short term goals and criteria for assignment
- Observe client response to intervention to verbally communicate and collaborate with TRPD and treatment team members
- Document outcomes of the intervention in EHR per policy to provide evidence for TRPD needed for evaluation of TR program effectiveness.
- At time of transition or discharge, provides TRPD with client information to assist in formulating a transition/ discharge plan.

Requirements
Talents, skills, and abilities:
- High School Diploma or HSE is required, along with past employment experience.
- Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid Montana Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record.
- Must have an acceptable criminal and protective services background check.
