Summary of Functions

Wholesale Shipping picks the orders for shipment to wholesale customers, processes them for shipment, and turns them over to the appropriate carrier for delivery.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Pick orders for shipment to Wholesale customers
Work with outside carriers to ship Wholesale orders
Organize the Wholesale product inventory within the warehouse
Serve as a primary receiver of deliveries arriving at SeaBear’s Anacortes warehouse.
Completes and maintains applicable inventory records including Recall Sheets

Food Safety Requirements and Responsibilities

Responsible for reporting suspicious activity or areas believed to be of potential risk to their immediate Supervisor (SB4.7.1 Food Defense)
Responsible for following the food safety guidelines set out in the Food Safety Manual (SB6.1.1 Personnel Practices)
Responsible to report any pest activity that they may encounter during day-to-day activities (SB6.5.1 Management of Pests & Vermin Requirements and SB6.5.2 Pest & Vermin Management Program)
Responsible to report any unusual empty containers immediately to the Quality Assurance Manager (SB6.5.5 Disposal of Unused Pest Control Chemicals)
Responsible to be aware of allergen risks and contamination through the training sessions provided by the Company and be aware of their responsibility in preventing cross-contamination from their own meals (SB6.13.01 Allergen Control Program and SB6.13.02 Allergen Risk Assessment)

Organizational Relationships

- Reports to Anacortes Inventory Manager

- Communicates regularly to Wholesale team and Operations team regarding Wholesale shipping issues

Qualifications

- High school diploma

- Attention to detail

Physical Demands

- Must be able to stand for up to 2 hour periods at a time, and to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50

lbs. Wholesale cartons can sometimes be in weights of 65 lbs or excess- must be able to lift with a

partner.

Stability to stand and walk on freezer floors and wet production floors
Fine finger & manual dexterity using both hands in order to inspect, pack, tape, and manually move or place product
Exertion of force on and against product for process flow
Full range of motion for frequent pushing, pulling, twisting, stooping, reaching, grasping and repetitive movements

Work Environment

- Facility environment with temperatures ranging from -18ºF to 80ºF

Replacement (Key Personnel)

In case the Wholesale Shipping staff member is not present at the facility during production times, another Wholesale Shipping staff member or the Inventory Manger will replace the critical food safety functions.
