Description

Conduct business within established supplier relationships.

Schedules each purchase order as needed to support the production schedule or requisition requirement, maintaining a minimum of inventory, while being responsive to manufacturing and other departments' needs.

Identify and communicate internally any supplier concerns or opportunities. Support cost recovery initiatives.

Are they going to be onboarding new suppliers or just working with current ones?

Support problem resolution discussions with suppliers and ensures the adequacy and timeliness of supplier correction action plans.

Coordinate the implementation of cost reduction projects and supplier consolidation.

Monitor cost, schedule, technical, and drawing release status of projects and lead corrective actions as required.

Enter cost changes, assign selected suppliers, and support sourcing projects.

Prepare and solicit requests for quotes and proposals based on the defined commodity strategy.

Coordinate and communicate new component releases and design changes with suppliers and engineering.

Sourcing Priority Management:

Support part shortages and drive delivery issues from suppliers as needed.

Execute on approved cost reduction projects. Maintain and measure cost reduction projects. Work with suppliers to resolve price and invoice discrepancies.

Support supplier quality function in determining root cause, necessary containment and counter measure activities for quality-related issues.

Monitor and drive supplier performance for assigned categories to ensure suppliers are meeting requirements for quality and delivery.

Monitor supplier lead-times and production capacity improvement initiatives to ensure schedule flexibility.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
