Brief Summary: Customer Service Representatives are responsible for assisting all customer segments including retail, contractor, fabricator and wholesale. You are responsible for providing information about our products including availability, price, applications, limitations, and installation recommendations. You are also responsible for order entry, purchase order (P/O) processing and receiving, and freight quotes.

Essential Functions:

Greet and assist customers with selections and follow-through on their orders
Enter orders, follow-up on back-orders, invoice orders, and follow proper pick-up procedures
Review on-order report daily
Answer phone inquiries including over the phone orders
Resolve customer service issues
Process P/Os and receiving for product lines
Assist with stock checks, pricing, freight quotes, inventory, and processing orders
Develop basic understanding of design and color
Gain knowledge of all current and new product lines
Participate in weekly branch meetings
Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Excellent computer and phone skills
Ability to follow-through with resolving customer issues
Self-motivated and proactive, willing to take the extra step
Work cooperatively in team environment
Able to handle regular interruptions to serve the needs of others while maintaining focus on multiple priorities and short and long term deadlines
Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with customers, maintaining a warm and professional manner with a positive customer relations and customer service mindset
Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and perseverance
Multitask and prioritize work through effective time management
Comply with all safety policies and protocols
Possess a flexible work schedule
Detail-oriented
Ability to lift 65 lbs.

Preferred

1-2 years customer service experience is a plus
Previous experience in the tile industry is a plus
Previous design experience is a plus
Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus

Work Environment:

Well-lit, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office and showroom setting with adequate ventilation. Occasional trips to the branch warehouse area which is well-lit, covered area with adequate ventilation.
