The Opportunity:

The MFG Gummy Lead will assist the Production Supervisor to ensure the gummy operators are working safely and in compliance with cGMPs and company policies. This position is considered a working Lead Operator which is responsible for coordinating daily activities on the gummy production line. This includes setting up, operating, and troubleshooting equipment. The Lead also steps in for line operators when needed, assigns tasks, follows production schedules, monitors output, quality, and proper documentation and ensures safety and efficiency on the floor.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate daily production activities to meet schedules, safety, and quality standards.
  • Serve as a point of contact for operators; provide training, guidance, and task assignments.
  • Operate and troubleshoot gummy line equipment (e.g., kettle, depositor, cooling tunnel, sugar sander).
  • Monitor production processes, including pH, Brix levels, and in-process quality checks.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, batch records, and safety protocols (PPE, OSHA).
  • Perform and oversee cleaning, sanitizing, and equipment maintenance (including curing and tray washing areas).
  • Accurately complete documentation such as batch records, logbooks, and material usage.
  • Assist with onboarding new staff, continuous improvement efforts (e.g., 5S), and inventory handling.
  • Fill in for absent line operators as needed to maintain production flow.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 1+ years of production experience within a GMP compliant facility
  • Highly proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to follow written instruction including Manufacturing batch records, Safety policies, and Quality requirements. 
  • Quality conscious with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, nutraceutical manufacturing, or possess mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience working in a team environment and providing process verification for team members.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate percentages.

 

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/Certificate; one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and/or education.
