JOB SUMMARY
The Process Technician works closely with the Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to support and improve manufacturing processes on the production floor. This hands-on role is responsible for troubleshooting production issues, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and material flow, and helping implement practical process improvements that reduce downtime, waste, and production delays.
The Process Technician will monitor assembly processes, assist with line balancing and layout improvements, maintain process documentation and work instructions, and support the development and implementation of tools, fixtures, and material replenishment systems. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues in a fast-paced production environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Provide hands-on support to production teams by troubleshooting process, equipment, tooling, and assembly issues.
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement on the production line.
- Assist with implementing process improvements that improve productivity, quality, safety, and material flow.
- Monitor production processes and help identify root causes of recurring issues.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve manufacturing issues and keep production moving.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of work instructions, standard operating procedures, and other process documentation.
- Assist with line balancing, workstation setup, layout changes, and material flow improvements.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of kanban and other material replenishment systems.
- Assist with tooling, fixtures, and other production aids to improve efficiency and ergonomics.
- Collect and track production data, including cycle times, downtime, defects, and other key performance indicators.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities, including 5S, kaizen, and other lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Train and support production employees on updated processes, work instructions, and standard work as needed.
- Respond to production issues and requests in a timely manner, prioritizing issues that impact safety, quality, and production flow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow all applicable company safety procedures.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree, certificate, or vocational training in manufacturing, industrial technology, mechanical technology, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, or process-related environment preferred.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting production or assembly processes.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, kaizen, kanban, or continuous improvement preferred.
- Experience creating or following work instructions, standard operating procedures, or other manufacturing documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, diagrams, work instructions, and production documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions.
- Comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor and collaborating with production employees and cross-functional teams.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and other manufacturing or production systems.
KNOWLEGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Vehicle development or relevant experiences preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements.
