This position is responsible for keeping management informed on the status of their work and of any problems that may arise. This position may assist clients by providing a full spectrum of individual, partnership, S-Corp, and C-Corp tax services, including planning, research, and compliance.   Essential Functions:  Responsibilities that must be performed by this position. Easily analyzes and prioritizes information, distilling it to the critical issues and drawing accurate conclusions.  Manage complexities and competing priorities.   Assist with federal and state tax returns for individuals, entities, estates, and trusts. Assist with payroll tax returns, sales tax returns, property tax returns, W-2s & 1099s Participate in recruiting events. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Position Qualifications:    Minimum qualifications required for this position. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in accounting; master’s degree in business administration or taxation a plus. Preferred Position Qualifications:    List of preferred qualifications required for this position. With trusts (multi-state and international filings) is a plus. Strong Tax Generalist background is a plus. Strong accounting foundation (year-end adjustments, fixing client books, fluency in QuickBooks programs). Working knowledge of MS Office (primarily Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel). Knowledge of time record-keeping software (CCH Access) is a plus. EXPERIENCE: at least 1-3 years of public accounting industry experience preferred. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Enrolled Agent / Certified Public Accountant license is a plus. INDUSTRIES: Real Estate, Manufacturing, Engineering, High Net worth individuals, Individuals    Physical and Environmental Elements: This is primarily a sedentary office classification, and employees work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Employees have occasional exposure to irate clients. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, telephone equipment, or calculation equipment and to operation standard office equipment.  The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, and pulls drawers to retrieve and file information and lifts and carries reports and records that typically weigh less than 20 pounds.
