Press Break

Position Summary:
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Amada-style press brake machinery to produce precision sheet metal components. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet production and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Main Job Duties:

• Perform brake operations on Amada-style press brake machines per work orders and fabrication drawings
• Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings for accurate setup and operation
• Apply knowledge of bend deductions and bend allowances to meet dimensional tolerances
• Produce parts efficiently while maintaining required quality and cosmetic standards
• Perform in-process inspections and complete required documentation
• Confirm operations in ERP systems and complete production records
• Perform preventive maintenance on press brake equipment
• Report part or equipment defects to supervisor promptly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety regulations and supervisor instructions
• Collaborate with team members to support production goals
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of press brake (sheet metal) experience required
• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience with Amada or Amada ASTRO robotic brake systems preferred

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

• Strong blueprint and mechanical drawing interpretation skills
• Knowledge of press brake setup, tooling, and operation
• Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
• Familiarity with shop equipment (saws, drill presses, etc.)
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to stand/walk for full shift and perform physical tasks
• Ability to kneel, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment
