What you will do:

The Procedure Center provides both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures include ultrasound guided vascular and non-vascular procedures, bone marrow biopsies with or without sedation, skin biopsies, incision and drainages. Vascular procedures include PICC lines, central lines, tunneled central lines and implanted subcutaneous indwelling ports. Non-vascular procedures include paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, indwelling tunneled cavitary cuffed drainage catheter insertion and chest tube insertion. Additionally, the candidate is expected to be able to consult on these specific procedures and manage any of the complications associated with each procedure.

• Analyzes and prioritized the care of clinically sophisticated patients/clients, including sociocultural, cognitive, functional, nutritional and educational evaluation, leading to the development of a problem list and patient management plan and communicates to patient, family and interdisciplinary team.
• Patient advocate throughout the care process and represents the medical center at regional and national meetings/conferences.
• Assesses quality of patient care delivery and finds opportunities for changes in practice, rooted in evidence-based standards of care/protocols, which promote positive patient outcomes.
• Adjusts to the evolving needs of patients and the healthcare environment, demonstrating flexibility in approach and care strategies.

• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner’s program.
• California Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing License.
• DEA License (schedule 2-5).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• ACLS/PALS Certification
• One (1) plus years’ experience as Nurse Practitioner, preferably in bedside procedures, line care management, and procedural compilations.
