POSITION DESCRIPTION: SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITOR

 

Chugach Alaska Services, LLC (CAS) is an Alaska Native-owned and operated staffing firm supporting Alaska's Oil & Gas Industry for over 32 years.

Position Summary:

Results-driven Internal Auditor with proven experience conducting operational and compliance audits in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors Global Internal Audit Standards, evaluating internal controls, identifying risk areas, and delivering actionable recommendations to improve business operations and compliance.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Proven track record in the performance of operational and compliance audits in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors Global Internal Audit Standards.
  • Participating on individual audit teams that promote, evaluate, recommend, and communicate on the adequacy of internal controls.
  • Independently promotes, evaluates, makes recommendations, and reports on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system of internal controls for business activities.
  • Under minimal supervision, designs and performs audit tests in accordance with the audit program to determine the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Promote, evaluate, recommend and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of the system of internal controls for business activities.
  • Under minimal supervision, identify potential conflicts, inconsistencies, or gaps in internal controls, and recommends changes or solutions based on professional judgment.
  • Under minimal supervision, develops optimal recommendations based on knowledge of business operations.
  • Timely communication of control deficiencies and other risk areas aids in the improvement of operations.
  • Effectively manages time including managing multiple concurrent deliverables and tasks, prioritize effectively, and adhere to deadlines and budgets.
  • Adhere to Alyeska’s Pipeline and Chugach Alaska Services policies, procedures, regulations, and code of conduct.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):

 

Mandatory Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 2- 5 years’ internal audit experience.
  • Previous experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Experience utilizing Data Analytics for Internal Audit work. 
  • Current Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Preferred Requirements

  • IIA or CISA professional designation.
