Job DetailsJob Location: 20813 Birchwood Spur Road - Chugiak, AK 99567Salary Range: $16.00 - $18.00 HourlyWe are seeking a friendly, skilled, and customer-focused Bartender to join our team. In this role, you will create memorable guest experiences by preparing and serving beverages with precision, professionalism, and a welcoming attitude. QualificationsThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Verify customer identification to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements. Responsible for the daily preparation, cutting, stocking, and storage of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality. Maintain proper and adequate setup of the bar for each shift or function, ensuring that all supplies, equipment, and ingredients are fully stocked. Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner while promoting and accurately documenting drink orders. Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences, always using proper portion control. Process cash and card transactions accurately, including making change, validating charges, recording receipts, and balancing all money to audit reports. Secure and lock up all beverages, food items, equipment, and cash banks at the end of each function or shift; complete necessary cash drops. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, glassware, tools, and surrounding work areas. Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by a supervisor. Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to ensure a safe and responsible environment. Restock inventory and supplies throughout the shift as needed. Promote and upsell specialty drinks, cocktails, and food pairings to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Must be 21 years of age or older. Ability to acquire TAPS Card prior to employment High School Diploma and/or GED required. Previous bartending or hospitality experience required. Knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and bar equipment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additional Requirements High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism Proven ability to manage cash accurately and responsibly. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from guests. Ability to deal with inebriated customers in a courteous and professional manner. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and special events as required.
