We are hiring for Emergency Technician position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

Position is full-time, 0.9 FTE, 8-hr Variable shifts, 36 hours per week.

Provides support to nursing and physician staff in the Emergency Department by performing tasks that assist in the care and treatment of patients with illnesses or injuries, taking into account the individual patient's physical or age-related needs.  Maintains a safe, hazard free, clean environment that facilitates quality patient focused care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

  • Coursework/Training: Orthopedic technology.

  • 1 year Patient care experience in an acute care or pre-hospital setting 

  • Experience with plaster and fiberglass splinting, application of various orthopedic soft goods and wound care.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
