We are hiring for Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 8-hr Day shifts, 40 hours per week.

$7,500 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Leads a group of laboratory employees working on a particular shift. Coordinates daily operations of the clinical laboratory/section. Serves as a resource to laboratory staff and physicians for the resolution of unusual problems or unexpected circumstances (both technical and non-technical).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or education and training equivalent to the requirements for a B.S. degree in a biological or chemistry specialty
  • Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist – American Medical Technologists or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist – American Society for Clinical Pathology
  • 1 year of clinical experience

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Leadership or supervisory experience

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
