Job Description:

Techtronic Industries Power Equipment, a subsidiary of TTI, has an opening in its Anderson, SC office for an Sr. Electrical Engineering Technician.

The Electrical Engineering Technician will complete technical tasks associated with qualifying new power tool products for safety and reliability in a laboratory environment. Primary tasks include following defined test procedures, collecting qualification data, and generating reports for cross-functional team review.

The candidate must have a can-do attitude, be willing to learn new technical skills, and work well in a team environment. Strong time-management skills and self-motivation are a must.

Required Job Qualifications:

路 Associates Degree in a relevant field of study, or equivalent work experience

路 Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite - particularly Excel

路 Basic familiarity with electronics test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.

路 Experience evaluating, testing, and debugging electronic circuits

Primary Responsibilities:

路 Perform testing for qualifying new power tools and lithium-ion batteries and chargers

路 Follow defined test procedures and complete all tasks with proper techniques and protocols

路 Gather test data with appropriate equipment, and generate reports for review and approval

路 Clearly communicate all findings to interested parties from the cross-functional development team

路 Cross-train on specialty equipment in the Electronics Lab, including automated battery test fixtures, x-ray equipment, and 3D printers

路 Debug electronic circuits from qualification samples and field returns

路 Assemble product prototype samples and test fixtures as required

路 Always maintain a safe and clean work environment
