 Position Summary: 

We are seeking a highly detail oriented Application Support Engineer (.NET) with 3–5 years of experience supporting Manufacturing systems and internal .NET applications. This role supports a mission critical Windows application built on .NET and DevExpress controls, requiring strong problem-solving skills, quick turnaround in issue resolution, and close collaboration with both business and technical teams. 

 You will act as the bridge between Engineering, Project Delivery, R&D, Stores/Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, Quality, and the Software Development team, ensuring business requirements are clearly translated into functional and technical specifications. 
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze manufacturing workflows and document AS-IS/TO-BE processes across production, quality, engineering, and supply chain. 
  • Gather, validate, and translate business needs into functional specifications, BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria. 
  • Support critical .NET/WinForms applications built using DevExpress (or similar frameworks), including validating business rules, identifying system behavior issues, and assisting developers with functional insights. 
  • Coordinate and support SIT and UAT activities, including test planning, scenario creation, issue logging, and release validation. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system improvements align with operational goals. 
  • Analyze operational data and define reporting or KPI requirements with BI and system teams. 
  • Prepare training materials, release notes, and user documentation for go-live. 
  • Support change management and monitor user adoption after system releases. 
  • Provide hands-on support to onsite manufacturing teams and ensure continuity of critical production operations. 

Core Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. 
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst/ Application Support Engineer in manufacturing, engineering, or technology environments. 
  • Understanding of .NET applications, APIs, and SQL for data analysis and testing; strong understanding of system workflows, data flows, and application logic. 
  • Strong skills in analyzing and mapping business processes, documenting functional requirements, and facilitating cross-functional communication. 
  • Knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum practices, and structured change control. 
  • Experience working closely with software development teams and operational stakeholders. 
  • Ability to understand system logic, data flows, and application behavior in a .NET/DevExpress environment. 
  • Strong knowledge of:  
  • C# /.NET Framework (WinForms or WPF) 
  • SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, indexing, debugging) 
  • DevExpress WinForms/WPF controls for rich UI 
  • Strong debugging skills using Visual Studio, logs, and SQL Server tools.  
  • Experience working in manufacturing, industrial, or shopfloor environments.  
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues under time sensitive conditions. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with manufacturing or industrial systems such as MES, ERP, or Quality systems (IFS is an advantage). 
  • Knowledge of production workflows, engineering change processes, and factory operations. 
  • Ability to interpret system logic, data flows, and functional behavior in .NET applications. 
  • Hands-on experience with DevExpress components or similar 3rdparty UI frameworks. 
  • Experience with SQL analysis, data validation, and reporting/dashboards. 
  • Continuous improvement mindset and strong analytical thinking. 
  • Ability to coordinate with teams across different branches or time zones when required.
