RESPONSIBILITIES

路 Design and release custom busbar assemblies and tap-off boxes for use in the data center industry

路 Generate 2D and 3D SolidWorks busbar application models based off requirements fed in from the project management team.

路 Load production systems with material requirements from approved drawings.

路 Assist Technical Engineers in preparing technical submittals for client review by providing accurate and high quality 2D drawings.

路 Collaborate with cross-functional production teams to execute trial runs of new designs (first of a kind) and assist with activities leading up to mass production release.

路 Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications at all times.

路 Provide technical documentation including Bills of Materials (BOMs), manufacturing instructions, and design reports.

路 Collaborate with the manufacturing team to resolve design issues during production and ensure smooth implementation of designs onto the shop floor.

路 Modify existing designs and create new engineered-to-order (ETO) solutions based on project requirements.

路 Participate in peer-review release process for models and drawings and provide feedback regarding issues needing correction or resolution prior to releasing leveraging knowledge of drafting standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

路 Bachelor鈥檚 degree in mechanical engineering preferred.

路 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within an Engineered-to-Order (ETO) environment

路 Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD

路 Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal fabrication (steel, copper, aluminum), welding, machining

路 Understanding of industry standards such as ANSI and ISO

路 Knowledge of regulatory bodies preferred (UL, CSA, ETL, etc)

路 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

路 Strong written and verbal communication skills

路 Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.

路 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required

路 Experience with SolidWorks PDM system required

路 Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment independently and as a member of a dynamic team; offer and

路 Up to 10% may be required.
