Responsibilities

Perform MRI scans accurately and efficiently
Collect patient and procedure data; review charts and physician requests
Screen patients for safety (ferrous/RF-sensitive materials)
Position and prepare patients; select appropriate immobilization devices
Administer contrast agents per regulations
Monitor patient status throughout the procedure
Review images and determine need for additional scans
Document all diagnostic and patient data accurately and timely
Archive images and maintain workflow efficiency
Deliver exceptional patient care and clear instructions
Maintain equipment, supplies, and a safe environment
Ensure compliance with MedQuest policies, OSHA, and regulatory requirements
Follow radiation protection and quality assurance protocols
Maintain confidentiality of medical records
Participate in continuing education and cross-training
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI
Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
Active state licensure, where applicable
CPR Certification is required

Prior Experience:

0+ years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, required
2+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferred

Special Qualifications:

IV skills required
Knowledge of MRI procedures and standards
Demonstrate adequate knowledge of anatomy
Skill in operation of MRI equipment
Customer service background and focus
