Position Summary 

Vertiv is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the Switchgear and Busway product lines at the Anderson, South Carolina facility. This role is responsible for managing projects from early inquiries, through initial design, design submittals, quoting, customer approval, final drawing release to manufacturing, building, and shipping.   The Project Manager partners cross-functionally with Sales, Program Management, Offering Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and in compliance with customer specifications, safety standards, and Vertiv quality requirements. 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage projects supporting Switchgear and Busway product lines from quote to design through manufacturing and delivery. 

  • Coordinate with Sales, Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure project execution. 

  • Lead development and review of engineering drawings, bills of material, technical documentation, and test procedures. 

  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors for component sourcing and outsourced services. 

  • Support material planning and procurement activities to meet project schedules. 

  • Facilitate project meetings including design reviews and production readiness reviews. 

  • Track project schedules, risks, and deliverables and implement mitigation plans as needed. 

  • Ensure document control on Vertiv and customer platforms. 

  • Support factory testing, inspections, and quality checks for Switchgear and Busway assemblies. 

  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and Vertiv policies. 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical, industrial, or manufacturing environments. 

  • Experience managing projects related to electrical power equipment such as switchgear or busway. 

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and equipment specifications. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. 

  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills. 

Education and Certifications 

Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. 

Physical Requirements 

No special physical requirements. Occasional presence in manufacturing environments may be required. 

Environmental Demands 

Manufacturing and production floor environment with exposure to industrial equipment and electrical assemblies.
