Job Description:

Infusion Department

  • Responsible for administering Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Immunoglobulin and Iron.
  • Symptom management and patient education.
  • Management of Central Line Catheters such as port-a-caths.
  • Provide care according to the individualized needs of the patient using the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

Education and Training Requirements

  • Associates degree required
  • National Nursing License and BLS certification required
  • 0 - 1 year experience. 2 - 4 years preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking, and priority setting skills
  • Oncology experience a plus
  • Excellent peripheral IV skills preferable
  • ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate Course required after one year
  • OCN certification required within two years
