We are currently hiring a Production Resin Handler for 2nd shift (4pm-12am).


1. Scope of the position:

  • Manage Resin (Virgin, Color, Regrind) to ensure the production lines or support activities are maintained, doing so safety and in adherence to Company Policies


2. Key Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to company safety standards in safe use of Fork Truck & complete prescribed Check Lists on Fork Truck
  • Adherence to PPE Requirements
  • Ensure that Production Machines are stocked with necessary Resin, monitoring regrind & color levels   
  • Removal, recording & disposition of Waste Plastic from Machines
  • Contribute to the reduction in waste plastic by a) sorting and salvaging material and b) contributing ideas/solutions for items that are causing the generation of waste plastic
  • Loading Waste Truck & Logging Waste material on approval
  • Removal & Cleaning Weeps from the Heads of Machines
  • Cleaning of Machine Material System Magnets & Filters
  • Troubleshoot Material issues & notification to maintenance of Material System issues, completion of follow up on material related issues
  • Maintaining tops of Machines – clean up resin-regrind-color spills & removal of any waste material from top of machine
  • Cleaning & removal of any spilt material or dust around regrind bins & grinders
  • Emptying Dust Collector & Clean up any spills around Dust Collector
  • Cleaning of the Vacuum Stations & maintaining area around vacuum stations – area to be dust free
  • React to contamination, cleaning out of Material system per Procedure
  • Completion of Material or Color Changeover during Mold Change – Minimize changeover time & loss of Material
  • Correct labelling of Resin, Regrind & Color when brought to & removed from Machines
  • Use of Excess Regrind in the approved Machines
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement activities
  • Assist in movement of equipment if Fork Truck is required
  • Ensure housekeeping & 5S standards are maintained to the highest standard by keeping Material items in order on Machines
