Senior Frontend Engineer (Data)

Rockstar Games is seeking a talented and experienced Frontend Engineer with a focus on the “back of the frontend” to join our online development team. This role involves a solid understanding of how high-profile frontends are delivered, secured and integrated via services and APIs with less focus on the presentation. The successful candidate will work on bleeding edge technology with an internationally established team, focusing on Grand Theft Auto VI and other long-term Rockstar plans. Responsibilities include development of accessible front-end components and applications utilizing React, integrating front-end applications with Next.js and ASP.NET Core (C#), developing comprehensive test suites, web performance optimization, and collaboration with other Rockstar technology teams worldwide. Qualifications include a degree in computer science or 5+ years of professional web development experience, 5 years of experience using React, and 5 years of experience using Node.js or C#. Skills required include expertise in accessible web development with React, great communication skills, experience with automated testing, shared code and source control (preferably Git), knowledge of Agile software development processes, software development best practices, web security best practices, and a passion for web technologies. Pluses include experience with high-traffic responsive websites, Next.js SSR/ISR, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, observability tools, and knowledge of Rockstar’s game titles.
