Senior Architectural Staff/Designer at SMRT — Design the Future

As our next Senior Architectural Staff/Designer, you’ll be at the heart of our creative process, leading documentation efforts, coordinating with engineering disciplines, and ensuring every project meets the highest standards of quality and compliance. Your work will help bring bold ideas to life and deliver meaningful impact across communities.


What You’ll Do:

You’ll guide architectural design and documentation from concept through construction, contributing to technically complex, high-performance environments.

  • Conduct code and standards research to assess design options and ensure compliance
  • Maintain communication with regulatory and review agencies; may participate in project interviews or presentations
  • Manage project documentation including meeting notes, agency reviews, and cost estimates
  • Develop project program requirements and oversee construction budgets and schedules
  • Lead the production of construction drawings and specifications
  • Coordinate design and documentation activities across project teams, clients, and consultants
  • Ensure quality control standards are met; may conduct QC and peer reviews
  • Mentor junior architectural staff and foster professional growth
  • Explore advancement opportunities in Design, Technical Leadership, Sustainability, Project Delivery, and Construction Administration
