Intreped Partners, LLC (including its subsidiary Global Systems Engineering, LLC) is seeking a HVAC Controls Technician / EMCS Technician I to support Energy Management Control System (EMCS) operations at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. This role focuses on hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of building automation and HVAC control systems within a secure, mission-critical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site troubleshooting and repair of EMCS-controlled HVAC systems
  • Support alarm response and fault diagnostics
  • Troubleshoot controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices
  • Diagnose and resolve network and communication issues
  • Assist with HVAC system modifications and control sequence updates
  • Support system performance optimization efforts
  • Assist with daily monitoring activities and reporting inputs
  • Participate in emergency response activities (including 2-hour response requirements)
  • Coordinate with Government technicians and Base Energy Managers


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC controls, BAS, or EMCS systems
  • Hands-on experience with controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical operations
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot controls logic, communications, and hardware


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Siemens Apogee, Desigo, or Insight systems
  • Experience supporting federal or large commercial facilities
  • Familiarity with BAS networks and Ethernet/IP systems


Security & Access Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD-issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a clearance)
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain base access


Work Requirements

  • Full-time, 100% on-site at Joint Base Andrews, MD
  • Participation in after-hours and emergency response rotation
