Job Title: Powersports Assembly Builder / PDI Technician

Location: Angleton, Tx

Job Summary
We are seeking a precise, efficient, and motivated Powersports Assembly Builder & PDI Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will be the first person to handle our brand-new inventory. You will uncrate, assemble, and perform rigorous Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) on motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, personal watercraft, and snowmobiles. Your work directly ensures that every vehicle hitting our showroom floor or leaving with a customer is safe, fully operational, and built to factory specifications. [1]

Key Responsibilities
  • Uncrate and Assemble: Unload and uncrate new vehicles shipped from top manufacturers.
  • Mechanical Build: Assemble handlebars, wheels, suspension, bodywork, and accessories using proper torque specifications.
  • Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI): Service fluids, adjust cables, check electrical systems, install batteries, and set tire pressures.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct final test rides or operational checks to ensure safety and performance.
  • Detailing: Clean and prepare units so they are pristine for the showroom floor or customer delivery.
  • Documentation: Complete factory PDI checklists, log serial numbers, and report any shipping damage immediately.
  • Shop Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe personal work bay and tool area.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 1–2 years of mechanical experience (powersports, automotive, marine, or small engine repair preferred).
  • Tools: Must possess a basic set of mechanical hand tools (sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrench).
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read, understand, and follow manufacturer assembly blueprints and tech manuals.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and maneuver heavy vehicles.
  • License: Valid driver’s license required; a motorcycle endorsement is highly preferred.
  • Traits: Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and a pride-in-workmanship mindset. [1]
