Filled with advanced equipment and skilled specialists, Cameron is a modern, high-tech facility that provides advanced diagnostics, a variety of specialties and cutting-edge treatment options that are combined with highly personalized and compassionate care.   DEPARTMENT: Surgery   JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse - Surgery SHIFT: PRN, As Needed, Days   COMPETITIVE PAY   Shift Premiums Weekend Premiums JOB SUMMARY The Registered Nurse is responsible for day-to-day patient care operations and will provide direct patient care according to unit specific needs, and is responsible for assessing, planning, prioritizing, organizing, administering, and evaluating patient care.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS   Performs essential functions of clinical Registered Nurse staff related to direct patient care based on unit needs Assures the accurate and timely delivery and documentation of patient care, including acknowledgement of physician’s orders, administration of treatments, medications, and related procedures. Ensures accurate and complete admission assessment. Able to develop patient education plan and prepares discharge and Care plan objectives. Ensures compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards Serves as a clinical resource to staff members and assists with daily tasks, decision making and problem solving. Uses AIDET format, establishes, maintains, and promotes among staff members positive working relationships with internal and external customers for the effective resolution of concerns in area of responsibility and in support of hospital goals and objectives   QUALIFICATIONS   Graduate of accredited professional nursing program, BSN preferred Current RN license in Indiana Current BLS-Healthcare provider within 3 months of hire   Requirements     Employees required to take call   Qualifications
