DEPARTMENT: Imaging JOB TITLE: Ultrasound Sonographer SHIFT: 80 Hours Bi-Weekly BENEFITS: Benefit Eligible COMPETITIVE PAY: SHIFT PREMIUMS WEEKEND PREMIUMS QUALIFICATIONS Be in good standing with the A.R.D.M.S. RVT preferred but not required. Be able to transport and lift with help, patients weighing up to 250 lbs. JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Technical Director and the Radiologist, perform general Ultrasound procedures including, vascular, abdominal, and OB/GYN assessments according to physician orders. Employees required to take call. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS Exemplifies good customer service. Regular reliable attendance. Ability to get along with others. Demonstrates proficient use of email. Transport patients. Demonstrate effective communication with patients, peers, and providers. Process images and make sure they are of good quality before pushing images into the PACS for physician interpretation. Assist the radiologist to perform procedures, as needed. Perform quality review surveys when needed by the technical director. Explain procedures and monitor patients to ensure safety during exams. Attend required meetings. Maintain a professional approach to patient confidentiality. Have a working knowledge of the equipment in your assigned specialized area. Obtain comprehensive clinical histories from patients. Take and pass CPR within 1 month of hire. Communicate Ultrasound findings to the provider. Maintain the proper operation of ultrasound equipment. Qualifications
