Must be Available to work Weekends and Holidays

Must have open availability morning, afternoon and evenings

Must be able and willing to walk dogs that are 90+ Pounds or 2 dogs at the same time

We are seeking Kennel Attendants for Full and Part time positions.

If you have the love and the passion for working with dogs, and a little poop, drool and some doggy hair doesn't phase you in the least- this could be the job for you!

Job Description Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:

Feeding Meals
Administering medications as needed
Walking Dogs
Assisting with overall maintenance of the facility
Cleaning;
- Laundry
- Dishes
- Scrubbing Kennels/Runs/Suites etc
- Taking out Trash
Using enrichment with the dogs (Toys, puzzle feeders, snuffle mats)
Spend extra time playing with pets outside their rooms (Fetch, long walks, belly rubs)
Basic grooming (Bathing and Nail Trims)
And of course Scooping Poop

Specific Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time both indoors and outdoors
- (Able to be physically active from beginning to end of shift)
Lifting is required (50+lbs)
Ability to work and operate without your cell phone
Ability to walk two dogs at the same time
Work with small and large dogs various breeds, sizes and activity levels
Have a confident and patient demeanor
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work well within a team environment
Ability to multitask and operate in a fast paced environment
Basic computer and phone skills
Guest service skills
Of course you MUST love animals!

Experience is Required:

Education: Preferred 2 year degree in Zoological or Animal Science OR

Experience: Min 1 year previous paid/working experience in a Kennel, Vet Office, Zoological or other similar positions.

Professional references may be requested.

(Personal pet care will not be considered as experience)

Average pay is based on experience and ranges between $16.00- $18.50 per/hr
