Our dedicated staff combine a relaxed residential environment with a full menu of programs geared toward individuals and groups, as well as community activities in the Steuben County area.   DEPARTMENT: Cameron Woods JOB TITLE: Cook SHIFT: 9;30a - 6p   Summary/Objective Prepares food to provide nutrition and variety to the residents within scheduled time frame. Maintains cleanliness of production and service area. Ensures resident involvement in the kitchen and dining room.   Essential Functions. Prepares food daily as outlined on the weekly menu plan utilizing standardized recipes Maintains high standards of sanitation and safety Assist Dining Service Coordinator with written inventory of dry goods, refrigerated and frozen foods, non-food supplies, dishes, and utensils. Ensure compliance with department of health regulations. Monitor portion control to meet residents’ requests and minimize waste. Qualifications Team player Ability to read/follow recipes and procedures Minimum two years commercial cooking Experience Commercial cooking Skills/Competencies Read, follow, and adjust recipes Ability to work as part of a team Ability to operate and maintain common kitchen equipment Education Required High School Diploma or GED Licenses Requirements None Certifications Required or Preferred ServeSafe food handling certification preferred   Qualifications
