What You’ll Do:

• Maintain a constant flow of clean bakeware, cookware, sheet pans, utensils, and café serviceware to support daily production.
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment while following food safety and sanitation standards.
• Clean and sanitize bakery equipment, workstations, shelving, sinks, floors, racks, and utility areas.
• Empty trash, recycling, and compost while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Restock cleaning supplies and support opening, closing, and deep cleaning responsibilities.
• Assist bakery and café team members with general cleaning and operational support throughout the day.

Requirements

• Previous bakery, café, restaurant, or commercial kitchen experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with bakery and café team members.
• Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to independently secure parking in downtown Ann Arbor.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout a scheduled shift.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive cleaning and dishwashing tasks throughout the day.
• Work safely around water, steam, cleaning chemicals, heat, and wet or slippery floors.
• Safely operate commercial dishwashing equipment and move throughout the bakery while maintaining awareness of hot surfaces and surrounding team members.
