About the Role:
Cantelon Childcare in Ann Arbor, MI is looking for a passionate and nurturing Preschool Teacher to join our team! Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate, engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood development goals
- Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment for preschool-aged children
- Monitor and support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and classroom activities
- Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, and outdoor play
- Maintain accurate developmental records and assessments for each child
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to ensure a consistent, nurturing program
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working with preschool or early childhood-aged children
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check in accordance with Michigan childcare regulations
- Warm, energetic, and child-centered approach to teaching
